I'm a producer in New York City, who also has ambitions of becoming an on-air personality. Besides working toward a career in entertainment and news gathering I also love singing and sharing my secrets on valsecrets.com. I joined valsecrets.com before it was even a website because I believed in the cause. I believe that people need to connect with others, share their experiences and use what they know to help others. I believe that valsecrets.com is a great place to help each other and be a leader. I use my profile to share my experiences traveling, business, job searching, internships, relationships, and fashion. I also use the website to bring you the latest on topics you might find interesting. So sometimes the secrets will come from me and other times they will come from the experts. Here is a little more about me. I'm an older sister and enjoy giving advice. When I was in high school I considered eventually becoming a guidance counselor or life coach. Sometimes I still consider those positions as possible future roles, but right now I'm focusing on production. Ever since I was 4 years old I've always wanted to be a story- teller or a singer. I loved pretending to be Barbara Walters and would interview people with my mini microphone recorder. I'd also always be singing. My interest in performing and communicating with people lead me down a path toward Miss America. I competed and won First-Runner up to Miss New Jersey. I've also won numerous awards for my skills and have performed at Carnagie Hall. I've also always wanted to live my life to the fullest. My big goal in life was to travel to Africa before college and in 2000 I had that chance. I won a fellowship to study in Ghana. I wrote about my journey in Imagine Magazine, which is filled with student journalists. My next goal was to travel around the world. I saw that opportunity with Semester at Sea. After experiencing many challenging situations in Third and Second world countries I decided to try and make a difference in our own country, because I started to see that parts of the US mirrored some depressed areas in other parts of the world. I began working with teen homelessness and brought awareness to the cause with the Miss America organization. Now Valsecrets.com is planning events with shelters and I'm furthering my mission. I'm hoping to share all my experiences with you on this website. IF you are looking for specific advice or guidance please respond to one of my postings and start the conversation.
